ETC EDICIONES began servicing the Salvadoran market in 1992, at a time when the importation of books was practically nil. We believed then, and still do now, that education is the only means Central American countries have in order to grow in all aspects: socially, economically, politically.

The importance of speaking English becomes more obvious every day, when almost every relevant job offering asks that the candidate speak English. This language has become an international one, and not knowing English today may isolate a person from the rest of our present-day, globalized world.

These aspects of modern life have led us to specialize in the distribution of textbooks in English, both as First and Second Languages.

We originally started out representing two important publishing houses: CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS and HARPER COLLINS PUBLISHERS, which evolved into the widely known PEARSON EDUCATION. We still represent both and have added McGRAW-HILL and OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS.

Our main office is in El Salvador with a large warehouse where we maintain a permanent stock of CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS material. In addition to that, we have bookshops named BOOKMARKS, located in Centro Comercial Basilea in San Salvador, and on 6a. Avenida 12-35, Zona 10, Guatemala City. ETC EDICIONES started operations in Guatemala City in August 2001, with offices, a warehouse and a bookshop. You can purchase children’s books, bestsellers, textbooks, magazines, travel guides and other kinds of books at either of our bookstores.
